Mason Valley Beekeepers

One of our greatest joys is helping other families start their own colonies. Our grandfather, Ralph, would be so pleased to see all the people interested in keeping bees - the profession that he honored and that helped raise his family and his children's families. The Mason Valley Beekeepers organization was started in 2009 as a support group for new beekeepers. An annual workshop is held each February for new beekeepers. The group currently consists of 55 families and continues to grow. Together these local beekeepers are helping to increase the productivity of gardens in the area, increasing the public awareness of the importance of honeybees, beautifying the area by the increased pollination of flowering plants and trees by the bees, not to mention the additional honey they provide to their families and local citizens.
